Based in Santa Barbara, Backyard Studio specializes in portrait and commercial photography. We work in the studio and on location and believe that any good photo begins with good light. We enjoy the creative challenge of a new project, pride ourselves on delivering jobs on time, and strive to exceed client expectations.

In addition to photography, we have a partnership with Clear Concepts and offer design (both web and print) and marketing consulting.

The studio was created by Andrew Schoneberger, a graduate in Studio Art from The University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to starting Backyard Studio Andrew was the Director of Performance and co-founder of SPARTA Performance Science, an elite athlete training facility in California's Bay Area. An accomplished waterpolo player, Andrew played professionally in Australia and competed for the US National Team.

Andrew is lucky enough to live in Santa Barbara and work with his dad.
